7 day Refresher
Training for NSS Programme Officers was concluded on 10th Oct, 2016 at RGNIYD,
Regional Centre, Chandigarh. 22 NSS Programme Officers from different
institutions of Chandigarh and Haryana attended this training. The training was
designed to help the NSS POs to leverage their work and life experiences.
The
goal of the training programme was to produce high performing youth NSS
Programme Officers with motivation, commitment, knowledge and skills as change
agents, facilitator, mentor and catalyst to transform youth development to
youth-led development. We have achieved the above goal through a 7 day
comprehensive, responsive, customised and multi‐disciplinary capacity programme by developing their core
competencies on a wide range of areas.
It will help them to effectively deliver
youth development programmes at their schools, colleges and universities. The
programme provided diverse learning opportunities through interactions with
experts, experiential learning and more. We are delighted to see the
transformation in the NSS Programme Officers as a result of the programme. It
shows their attitude to learning new things and commitment to serve the young
people more effectively.
