Workshop on Novel Food Product Development

The 5-day workshop on Novel Food Product Development – way forward for Skill India was concluded today at RGNIYD, Regional Centre, Chandigarh in the presence of Mr. Stanzin Dawa, Regional Director, RGNIYD, RC, Chandigarh and Dr. Geeta Mehra, Asst. Professor and Head, Department of Food Science, MCM DAV College for Women, Chandigarh.

The workshop incorporated technical as well as practical hands-on sessions for enhancing the competencies of participants on developing novel food products. The workshop was filled with mouth watering delicacies, fun filled games and activities, knowledgeable sessions on IPR, Food Safety, Pathogens Detection etc and witnessed the energetic and enthusiastic participation by more than 40 young girls. The participants felt immensely thankful to the organizers of the workshop as it provided them with the much required skills and knowledge to become an entrepreneur. “The entire workshop was amazing and every session had something different to learn.

Rather than telling about one thing, I must say that each and every session was entirely new and the facilitators were also wonderful. I got to know about entrepreneurship which I think was the basic motive so it definitely completes my objective of being here in the workshop.” – Panvi Ahuja “The best part of the workshop was it had many practical sessions which made it so interesting and knowledgeable. Other thing was that all the speakers had a story which they shared and we got to learn from them. The most excellent part for me was the motivational speech by Mr. Paramjeet Singh, Director, RCED, Chandigarh. He generated some energy and I hope that it will further help us in starting our entrepreneurial journey. The whole workshop was organized so well by RGNIYD Team.
